"Weight of the World" is the title song of the album. The main reason is that amalgamate the vibes and the idea of this record in its entity. Lyrically inspired by Sisyphus, both the Greek myth and the homonym philosophical essay by Albert Camus. The absurd (finding meaning in life) is a fundamental human need. During the start of the pandemic in 2020 we found ourselves in a state of inertia and lack of will. "Weight of the World" was the firstborn child after the lockdown. A boulder we had to push even if we had to see it roll down again. As Camus says: "The struggle itself ... is enough to fill a man's heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy".
lyrics
"Weight of the World"
One step at a time,
never was blind.
the wisdom I own,
hold the weight of the world.
Stuck deep
with my feet on the ground,
cheat Death with a smile,
came here for a million times,
lose myself... lost myself.
One step closer atop,
tomorrow I’ll fall,
fall on my sword,
hold the weight of the world.
Stuck deep
with my feet on the ground,
cheat Death with a smile,
came here for a million times,
lose myself... lost myself.
Crushing truth, defy your fate,
vanish fear, live for today.
We build our life for tomorrow,
yet tomorrow bring us to Death,
let the light guide your sorrow
and forget that we'll die one day.
Ride the pale horse...

This is colossal. I’ve been enjoying these guys for years but this album is next level. They seemed to have found their stride & it’s a biggin’. I feel that they’re heading into the Groove/Rock Genre of Clutch but still carry that epic, larger-than-life sound you’d expect from Zeppelin or later era Soundgarden. Their sound is tighter than a fish’s ass (and that’s water tight) & whatever these guys are doing; I’m loving it. And…the vocals are so, so, so good! I’m excited for their next outing. Harry Harrison
